Campaign Story
* Typical cost of capstone projects (including registrations, travel and supplies) is about $1200.
* I am trying to raise $600 as family and school will cover the rest.
Goals for My Fundraiser:
Supporting my capstone project
*** I plan to pursue the project though participation in TSA activities like competitions and community service. ***
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that helps students explore STEM through hands-on projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.
What is ‘Community Art and Wellness Initiative’
A community-based project that combines art therapy workshops with wellness sessions for trauma victims and at-risk individuals, using creative expression to promote healing and recovery.

Why I am pursuing this project (My why)
- I am a ‘Community Builder’ personality type person with strong ‘advocate’ business potential.
- I’m super passionate about being a social worker, especially when it comes to stopping violence and helping people recover. I’m also really good at resolving conflicts, even in tricky situations like politics. So, I decided to start a project where I help people who really need it, try to make the world a better place, and hopefully, use art to help people who’ve been through tough times heal..
My plan of action: Competitions and Activities
Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) to join:
TSA – TSA is the primary CTSO which focuses on technology, leadership, and innovative project development, aligning well with the student’s creative and collaborative approach.
FBLA – FBLA offers opportunities to develop business and leadership skills, providing a platform for advocacy, effective communication, and strategic planning in community projects.
Competitions
TSA – Audio PodcastingThis introductory competition is ideal for building creative storytelling and audio editing skills. It directly supports the community art and wellness initiative by enabling the student to craft engaging narratives that highlight local art and wellness themes.
FBLA – Business Communication
This introductory competition helps develop essential business presentation and communication skills. It lays the foundation for effectively promoting and organizing the Community Art and Wellness Initiative.
TSA – Senior Solar SprintAlthough focused on technical innovation, this advanced competition encourages creativity, teamwork, and project management. The skills and experience gained can be leveraged to incorporate sustainable elements into community art installations.
FBLA – Business PlanThis advanced competition is crucial for developing strategic planning and financial management skills needed to scale the Community Art and Wellness Initiative. It challenges the student to create a comprehensive plan outlining market research, funding, and operational strategies.
Community Service:
Community Art & Wellness Workshop
Why it fits: This activity directly engages the local community by merging art and wellness practices, reinforcing the key themes of the initiative and allowing students to apply skills acquired from competitions.
Implementation: Plan and execute a series of workshops in community centers within zip code 30008. The workshops will feature interactive art sessions, wellness activities, and collaborative projects with local artists and health experts.
Skills Development: Event planning, leadership, interpersonal communication, community engagement
