Campaign Story
* Typical cost of capstone projects (including registrations, travel and supplies) is about $1200.
* I am trying to raise $600 as family and school will cover the rest.
Goals for My Fundraiser:
Supporting my capstone project
*** I plan to pursue the project though participation in TSA activities like competitions and community service. ***
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that helps students explore STEM through hands-on projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.
What is ‘Community Harmony Initiative’
A project that integrates music production with religious community service. The student organizes faith-based music events, workshops, and live-streamed concerts to raise community awareness on poverty alleviation. It leverages the student’s strengths in music ministry leadership and production to foster community connection.

Why I am pursuing this project (My why)
- I am a ‘Stylish Thinker’ personality type person with strong ‘innovator’ business potential.
- I’m super passionate about being a music ministry leader and creating awesome game soundtracks. I’ve decided to use these skills to lead a project as a religious head, where we focus on community service and spreading happiness. The end goal? To use our faith to lift our community out of poverty and make a real difference..
My plan of action: Competitions and Activities
Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) to join:
TSA – As the primary CTSO, TSA offers technical and creative competitions that align with the student’s innovative approach to integrating music production and technical project management, supporting risk management and data analysis components.
FBLA – FBLA focuses on business management, administration, and effective communication. It offers practical business challenges that build skills in risk management and strategic planning, which are vital for the proposed passion projects.
Competitions
TSA – Software DevelopmentThis introductory competition allows the student to develop coding and software project skills that can be applied to creating digital solutions supporting the Community Harmony Initiative.
HOSA – Public Service Announcement
This introductory competition helps the student hone effective communication and presentation skills by producing a visual PSA on a relevant community or health topic, aligning with the mission of community harmony.
TSA – Engineering DesignServing as an advanced challenge in Year 2, this competition encourages innovative thinking and design skills. It provides practical experience in prototyping solutions to real-world community challenges, building on skills developed in Year 1.
FBLA – Business PlanThis advanced competition requires the student to develop a comprehensive business plan, which is crucial for turning the Community Harmony Initiative into a sustainable project. It builds strategic thinking and practical business skills.
Community Service:
Community Harmony Festival
Why it fits: This community service activity directly engages local residents to celebrate unity and foster dialogue, embodying the passion behind the Community Harmony Initiative.
Implementation: In Year 1 Spring, the student will collaborate with local schools, community centers, and volunteers in zip code 30288 to organize a festival featuring art exhibits, cultural performances, interactive workshops, and community dialogues. Planning begins in Fall with volunteer recruitment and logistics coordination.
Skills Development: Event planning, leadership, community engagement, teamwork
