Campaign Story
* Typical cost of capstone projects (including registrations, travel and supplies) is about $1200.
* I am trying to raise $600 as family and school will cover the rest.
Goals for My Fundraiser:
Supporting my capstone project
*** I plan to pursue the project though participation in TSA activities like competitions and community service. ***
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that helps students explore STEM through hands-on projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.
What is ‘Peace Innovation Incubator’
A program designed to mentor and support young innovators in developing scalable technical solutions for empathetic collaboration.

Why I am pursuing this project (My why)
- I am a ‘Reflective Thinker’ personality type person with strong ‘entrepreneurship’ business potential.
- I’m really into using my leadership skills and passion for mechanical engineering to create cool tech solutions that can help make the world a more peaceful place. I see myself as a social entrepreneur, using these projects to teach others about empathy and collaboration. It’s all about making a difference, you know?.
My plan of action: Competitions and Activities
Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) to join:
TSA – TSA offers hands-on technical design challenges and project management opportunities that nurture technical skills and leadership qualities, making it a perfect fit as the primary CTSO.
FBLA – FBLA focuses on business management, strategic planning, and leadership development, aligning well with the student’s entrepreneurial and administrative skills.
Competitions
TSA – Software DevelopmentThis introductory competition challenges students to design, implement, test, document, and present a software project. It builds technical coding and problem-solving skills vital for developing tools within the Peace Innovation Incubator.
FBLA – Accounting I
This introductory competition builds foundational business and financial literacy skills. It is crucial for understanding budgeting and financial planning, which are essential components of running an incubator venture.
TSA – Engineering DesignThis introductory competition promotes design thinking and innovation by challenging students to develop prototypes. The creative process and hands-on engineering skills gained will be directly applicable to designing tangible solutions for the incubator.
FBLA – Business PlanThis advanced competition allows students to develop a comprehensive business plan. It integrates the skills learned from earlier competitions and directly applies them to creating a realistic, market-ready plan for the Peace Innovation Incubator.
Community Service:
Community Innovation Workshop in ZIP 30143
Why it fits: This activity engages the local community in brainstorming and testing innovative ideas that align with the incubator’s mission. It helps the student gather real-world feedback and build local support while applying the skills honed during competitions.
Implementation: Plan and organize a workshop at a local community center in ZIP 30143 during the Spring semester; collaborate with local mentors, educators, and community leaders; design interactive sessions, breakout groups, and feedback panels to validate project ideas.
Skills Development: Event planning, public speaking, community engagement, leadership, collaborative problem solving
